Ben Arc is the name this developer uses publicly, and this entry makes no claim about who
is behind it. The GitHub account is arcbtc, displayed as "Arc", and it links to
lnbits.com and to a nostr profile under the name benarc.
The LNbits licence file names the copyright holder as "Arc" and releases the project under the MIT licence. The LNbits documentation, meanwhile, uses a collective copyright, "LNbits Contributors", which is consistent with how the project describes itself: maintained by a large user and developer community rather than by one person.
The work is LNbits itself. It is a Python server that sits on top of an existing Lightning funding source, splits it into wallets and accounts with their own API keys, and keeps everything beyond that as optional extensions. Because the funding source is pluggable, across more than twenty backends, an application built on LNbits can move between Lightning implementations without changing its own code.
A pseudonym is a stated preference. Only published work and the publicly used name are recorded here.
