Colorado's business register lists Matthew David Hill as the registered agent of Start9 Labs, Inc., a foreign profit corporation whose jurisdiction of formation is Delaware, registered in Colorado on 16 July 2020 with a principal office in Denver and a status of good standing.
The company he runs states its purpose as eliminating "the need for trusted third parties in the human/computer relationship", and builds StartOS, an operating system for running a personal server at home. That includes running a Bitcoin node and Lightning node, which the company documents as a category of its own, alongside the wider self-hosting catalogue. Start9 publishes the operating system's source code and sells prebuilt servers as a convenience rather than a requirement.
