Boring founded the trade association in 2014 and led it as chief executive for years, appearing on its own statements under the title Founder and CEO of the Chamber of Digital Commerce. One such statement, issued on 17 March 2023 after the closure of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, argued that blockchain technology should be used to modernise banking infrastructure and that regulators should reconsider their stance toward the industry.
The organisation she built is a 501(c)(6) business league, which means it is funded by member companies and lobbies on their behalf. Under her leadership it ran the first Bitcoin Education Day on Capitol Hill in August 2014, joined the Treasury's Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group in 2018, and filed amicus briefs in the Securities and Exchange Commission's case against Ripple. The Digital Chamber's current team page lists Cody Carbone as chief executive officer and does not list her.
