Paxos names him on its own company page as "CEO + Co-Founder", alongside the year 2012 as the date the company was established.
He is quoted in the company's announcement of 12 December 2025, on the conversion of its New York trust charter to a national trust charter supervised by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, as "Charles Cascarilla, CEO and co-Founder of Paxos". In that statement he placed the change against the company's earlier licence: "Paxos was the first regulated trust company for digital assets in the US with our 2015 NYDFS charter. In our decade as a regulated entity, we've established a reputation as a trustworthy partner capable of meeting the highest standards of compliance."
