Moravec co-founded Braiins with Jan Čapek in Prague in 2011. The Czech commercial register lists him as one of the two first managing directors of Braiins Systems s.r.o., registration number 24147931, entered on 1 September 2011, and he appears as a managing director in the current record.
Braiins' account of the takeover of the mining pool is specific: "in 2013, Pavel and Jan decided to shift into the Bitcoin industry full-time and Braiins acquired a majority share in the mining pool while taking over 100% of its operations", which freed Marek Palatinus to work on Trezor at SatoshiLabs. Braiins acquired the remaining stake in 2020, and the pool was renamed Braiins Pool in 2022.
He is named by the company as a co-developer of Stratum V2, the 2019 rewrite of the protocol between mining hardware and pools, alongside Čapek and Matt Corallo.
